High dilutions dinamized of calcium nitrate and potassium sulphate on the management of thrips, downy mildew and onion yield under organic system

ABSTRACT
Assays with substances in high dilutions havealso been used as phytosanitary management strategy for organic production systems. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of high dilutions of calcium nitrate and potassium sulfate on the incidence and damage of thrips, Thrips tabaci; downy mildew severity, Peronospora destructor; and yield of organic onion. The study was conducted in two different experiments during three years for high dilutions of potassium sulphate (2011-2013), and calcium nitrate (2013-2015), at Epagri, Experimental Station of Ituporanga, Santa Catarina state. The treatments were high dilutions, 6, 12 and 30 CH (CH, hahnemannian centesimal scale) of calcium nitrate and potassium sulphate applied by foliar sprays, besides control without application. Randomized blocks design with four replications was used. The incidence and damage of thrips, chlorophyll index, downy mildew severity, and onion yield were not affected by treatments.
