under the trees. All the trees are planted in the same soil, at the same time, receive the same water, and are right
next to each other. I have another area where this same result was observed on the spruce trees. The ones with the prep grew
several feet, ones next to them without prep only a few inches. I also put prep under many deciduous trees but the growth is not that obvious like on the spruce. These photos were taken in July 2014.
